Yesterday news broke that A Wrinkle In Time director Ava DuVernay would be directing New Gods for Warner Bros. and DC, and she’s confirmed the news herself with a simple emoji and tribute to New Gods creator Jack Kirby.
DuVernay shared the news from Deadline with her Instagram followers and captioned it with a simple fist bump emoji. On Twitter, DuVernay paid tribute to New Gods creator Jack Kirby by sharing one of his famous quotes, “Our dreams make us large.” and then thanking him. Check out her social media posts below.
There have been conflicting reports as to whether or not New Gods will be part of the DCEU. Variety said it will be, but Deadline reported that there’s no connection. We’ll have to wait for more confirmation, but one things for sure — Ava DuVernay is directing New Gods.
