Tim Seeley to write five “Prelude to the Wedding” one-shots ahead of Batman #50

This July, Batman and Catwoman will finally tie the knot in the long-awaited Batman #50.  It’s been an event a long time in the making, from their first meeting back in the original Batman #1 from 1940 all the way up to the proposal in last June’s Batman #24.  The past several months have seen the duo prepare for marital bliss by going on double-dates, engaging in sword fights, and preventing worldwide plant-based takeovers by Poison Ivy.

You know, normal stuff.

In an exclusive with Nerdist, DC Comics have revealed plot details for the final two Batman issues before the wedding take place, where the Joker gets wind of the impending nuptials and no doubt reacts like a rational human being.

Also revealed are five new one-shots from Tim Seeley, each focusing on a specific member of the Bat-family as they prepare for the wedding.  Each issue will be illustrated by a different artist with interlocking covers from Rafael Albuquerque.
