Ben Affleck’s 2016 movie The Accountant made $155 million worldwide, enough to warrant a planned sequel, but it was an even bigger hit on home video!
According to the Motion Picture Association of America, The Accountant, which was directed by Suicide Squad 2 director Gavin O’Connor, was the number one rented DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital movie in the US in 2017. The Accountant even beat out Wonder Woman, which was the fourth most rented movie on DVD/Blu-ray and the third most rented movie on Digital.
Gavin O’Connor is currently writing Suicide Squad 2 and will direct it later this year. It’s expected to begin production this fall.
