Zack Snyder hasn’t been shy about comparing Henry Cavill’s Superman to Jesus in both Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Some of the references and imagery have been obvious, while others not as much. Today on Vero, Snyder shared a metaphor that you may not have noticed.
“Why with all the technology at his disposal would Batman build a spear?,” Snyder asked. “Here’s why,” he said along with an image of Jesus hanging on the cross and a man about to pierce him with a spear.
