In Batman v Superman we learn that Lex Luthor had an abusive father who has since passed away. The movie never tells us how he died but according to director Zack Snyder, Luthor killed him.
A fan on Vero was talking about a fan theory article he read, which heavily implied that Luthor killed his own father. Snyder saw the comment and said, “we feel the same about Lex taking out his dad.”
