In Batman v Superman, Bruce Wayne lives in a lake house instead of Wayne Manor. The mansion has been abandoned for years, and now thanks to director Zack Snyder we know just how long it’s been since Wayne moved out.
“I think his father commissioned the lake house as a gift to his mother,” Snyder told a fan on Vero. “A place built by her favorite architect and she loved it. When Bruce turned 18, he moved in. He ordered Wayne Manor be left to decompose.”
At the end of Justice League, Wayne suggests using a room in the abandoned Wayne Manor as the “Hall of Justice” for his team. Perhaps we’ll see it be rebuilt one day in a future movie.
