Lois Lane and Lex Luthor series ‘Metropolis’ is being delayed and “redeveloped”

It was a big day for DC’s streaming video service, which they revealed will be called “DC Universe”. A Swamp Thing series from Aquaman director James Wan was announced, as were Titans, Young Justice: Outsiders, and Harley Quinn. But noticeably absent was Metropolis, a Superman prequel that Warner Bros. announced earlier this year.

According to Deadline, Metropolis is being “redeveloped”. The original concept that Warner Bros. announced said that it would take place before the arrival of Superman, and follow Lois Lane and Lex Luthor as they investigate the world of fringe science and expose the city’s dark and bizarre secrets.

It’s not clear how much of Metropolis will change from that original concept, but it sounds like it won’t be going into production this year as originally planned as they figure things out.

Is Metropolis something you hope eventually gets made for DC Universe? Let me know in the comments below.

Note: This show is not connected to the DCEU. I just used the photo above from Batman v Superman because it featured Lois Lane and Lex Luthor.
