Henry Cavill is 35 years old today, and to celebrate his birthday Man of Steel director Zack Snyder shared a photo of Cavill in the classic Christopher Reeve Superman costume.
“This was the shot I did to show the studio that this was my Superman,” Snyder captioned the photo on Vero. “They agreed. Got the suit from Warner archives and Henry honored its legacy. Happy birthday my brother.”
Last summer, Snyder shared a behind-the-scenes photo of Cavill in the classic Superman costume. It’s cool to see the new action shot above that helped him convince Warner Bros. that Cavill was the right guy for the job.
Last month Cavill confirmed that he’s had talks about Man of Steel 2, and director Christopher McQuarrie seems interested in making the movie. Hopefully Warner Bros. will have some official Man of Steel 2 news to share soon.
