Cameras began rolling in Toronto for Shazam in January, and after a five month shoot production officially wrapped today.
Shazam director David Sandberg took to Twitter to announce the news, saying “That’s a wrap on Shazam! Now onto months of post production.”
Meanwhile, Shazam star Zachary Levi took to Instagram to thank the cast and crew on all of their hard work throughout the production. As we saw from set photos, there’s a scene in the movie that takes place in a toy store. Levi announced that all of the toys will be given to local non-profit charity organizations. Now Shazam will enter post-production and I don’t think we’ll have to wait long to see some footage. San Diego Comic-Con in July seems like the perfect place to release the first trailer. We’ve seen many set photos, but Comic-Con also seems like the place where we’ll get the first official look at Zachary Levi as Shazam.
Shazam is scheduled to be released on April 5, 2019.
