Zack Snyder shares unused ‘Batman v Superman’ costume designs

Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder has taken to social media to share some unused costume designs for the members of the Justice League.

“Some costume prototypes that I have hanging around the office,” Snyder captioned the photo above on Vero. Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Doomsday all look very similar to the final designs used in the movie, but The Flash and Cyborg look drastically different. The Flash’s “Knightmare” costume resembles Batman’s mech suit.

As for Cyborg, he has a full face mask. “I felt he needed an optional face shield so he could smash through stuff without destroying his human face,” Snyder explained to a fan on Vero.

Ironhead Studio created the costumes for Batman v Superman and shared photos of full-sized designs they built for the movie. These photos were originally shared in 2016, but you can check them out below.
