After Steven Spielberg joined DC in April, another big director was rumored to be joining as well. A Lord of the Rings fansite claimed that director Peter Jackson was in talks to join the DC universe, but in a new interview Jackson denied those rumors.

“That’s not true. I had no discussions about that,” Jackson told French website Allocine (translated by IndieWire). “I’m not a fan of comics, I’ve never read any, so I’m not particularly interested in adapting one for cinema. That’s not true at all. I’m not involved in any DC film or ‘Lord of The Rings’ series but I’m ok with it, I have plenty other projects that keep me busy.”

So there you have it. Don’t expect Peter Jackson to make a DC movie any time soon. If the rumor of another big director joining DC is true, we’ll have to wait and see what other names pop up.
