Fans got a brief look at Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke in a credits scene in Justice League and fans have been wondering when they’ll be able to see him again. We know a Deathstroke movie is in the works and in an interview with MTV at San Diego Comic-Con, Manganiello gave fans a brief (but reassuring) update.
“I say, ‘It’s in the works,’ because it is and there’s nothing further that I can say without speaking out of school,” Manganiello said. “Because I’m part of a team, I’m a part of a locker room. You don’t talk outside the locker room. But all I can say is, for the hardcore fans, it’s in the works. They want the character to happen, it’s just when he happens.”
Manganiello then added that everyone involved wants to get the character right. You can check out his comments around the 12:39 mark in the video below.
Manganiello actually wrote some of the Deathstroke movie himself, and pitched it to The Raid director Gareth Evans. But like many of the other DC movies that we’ve heard about being in development over the years, there isn’t an official green light for this one to be made just yet.
Do you hope we eventually get to see Joe Manganiello in his own Deathstroke movie? Let me know in the comments below.
