Zack Snyder: Dick Grayson was Batman v Superman’s dead Robin and Carrie Kelley would’ve been introduced

Earlier this year, director Zack Snyder implied that Dick Grayson was the dead Robin in Batman v Superman. Not Jason Todd as many fans had assumed. Today, Snyder took away all doubt and said it was “Richard” Dick Grayson.

Snyder confirmed the news to a fan on Vero who had shared the deleted Suicide Squad footage of Batman talking to Harley Quinn about The Joker taking someone from him (he was referring to Robin). When a fan followed up and asked if Snyder intended to bring Dick Grayson back after a Flashpoint movie, Snyder said no. Grayson would stay dead, but he had plans to introduce the female Robin, Carrie Kelley, he said.

The truth is, the dead Robin we saw in Batman v Superman may never be touched on again. The DCEU is moving on from the Zack Snyder era and every piece of the puzzle going forward isn’t going to fit perfectly with the Snyder movies that came before them.

But what do you make of Snyder’s original plan of Dick Grayson being the dead Robin in Batman v Superman, with Carrie Kelley taking the role of Robin in one of his now scrapped sequels? Let me know in the comments below.
