The Hangover’s Bryan Callen joins ‘Joker’ cast

The Hangover

Bryan Callen is reuniting with his The Hangover director Todd Phillips on Joker. Callen broke the news on his podcast “The Fighter and The Kid” last night. He says he’ll be playing an aging dancer/stripper.

“I’m doing the Joker. I was offered a part,” Callen revealed. “That’ll be fun, but I think it’s only a couple days. I play an aging dancer. A stripper. I don’t want to go into the details. I can’t go into the details, but just know it’s going to be good. I’ll be in a Speedo, I can’t wait. I have some ideas for it.”

Callen’s co-host, Brendan Schaub, broke some Joker news of his own last year. He’s good friends with Joker director Todd Phillips’ agent, and said that part of the Joker’s origin in the movie is that he had a permanent smile as a kid and everyone made fun of him.

Joker starts shooting in New York City in September. It hits theaters on October 4, 2019.
