Ray Fisher doesn’t know if he’s getting a Cyborg movie: “it would be very, very costly”

Justice League star Ray Fisher was at Heroes & Villains FanFest in New Jersey over the weekend. During a panel, Fisher was asked if fans would be getting a standalone Cyborg movie, and Fisher gave a pretty honest reply. He doesn’t know, and admits it’d be a very expensive movie to make.

“I don’t know. I can’t comment on that specifically, because they don’t tell me anything until the very last minute,” Fisher said. “There’s a ton of people making those kind of decisions behind the scenes. And it would be a very, very costly movie to make because it is so CGI heavy with Cyborg. I’m the only member of the League that’s not in a practical costume. You’re going to be looking at $200 million just to make it. So it’s one of those things you have to take into consideration. It’s a numbers game for some people at the end of the day.”

Fisher went on to say if the fans keep making noise, letting Warner Bros. know they want a Cyborg movie, it could happen. Check out his full reply in the video below around the 3:40 mark.

Way back in 2014, Warner Bros. announced a Cyborg movie for 2020. But after the backlash to Batman v Superman and Justice League underperforming at the box office, many of those plans for the future have changed.
