
Henry Cavill is no longer Superman.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Warner Bros. was trying to get Cavill to cameo in Shazam, but talks broke down due to contract issues. Warner Bros. is now closing the door on any other Superman appearances from Cavill.
Warner Bros. will now shift their focus to Supergirl, a movie we learned they were working on earlier this summer.
A source for The Hollywood Reporter says that Warner Bros. is considering hitting the “reset” button on the DC Extended Universe, and plans to move in a different direction going forward.

Update 2: Warner Bros. has issued the following statement in regards to this story:
“While no decisions have been made regarding any upcoming Superman films, we’ve always had great respect for and a great relationship with Henry Cavill, and that remains unchanged.”
