We’ve lost one of the greats. It’s been reported that Norm Breyfogle passed away this past Monday.
Breyfogle was an industry legend through and through, making up– along with Alan Grant– one half of one of the best Batman creative teams of all time. His work was moody and mysterious while still having an undeniable energy. Truly a perfect fit for the Dark Knight.
He was co-creator of characters like Anarky, Mr. Zsasz and Jeremiah Arkham, as well as Prime for Malibu Comics. In addition to penciling various Batman titles, Breyfogle worked on several Superman books, The Spectre, Archie’s Double Digest, and several independent publications.
He was 58.
