After launching Supergirl in 2015 (which then moved to The CW), CBS is getting back into the DC Comics TV business.
Variety is reporting that a Secret Six TV series has received a pilot commitment at CBS. The show follows six morally ambiguous strangers, each with their own unique specialties and secret pasts. They are brought together by an enigmatic figure who blackmails them into working as a team to expose the corruption of the corporate and political elite.
Popular villains like Bane, Harley Quinn, Lex Luthor, the Mad Hatter, and the Penguin have all been members of the Secret Six in the comics over the years, though it’s currently unknown which characters will be included in the CBS TV show.
Despite launching their own streaming service last month, DC has several shows on traditional TV networks like Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash, Gotham, and Krypton, among others.
