The fifth and final season of Gotham is in full production right now, and that doesn’t mean we won’t meet new characters still. It has been known for some time that Bane would be appearing this season, we haven’t seen a good look at him in costume yet.
On Monday morning Gotham writer and producer Tze Chun took to Twitter to share the first look at Shane West in his full Bane costume, and it isn’t quite what we were expecting.

This is unlike any version of Bane we’ve seen to date. While he does have the breathing apparatus – no word yet if he is breathing Venom – the full head of hair, and the red circles under his eyes are certainly new.
Gotham will be returning to Fox in 2019 for its fifth and final season. It certainly sounds like it’s going to be a full one.
