After filling numerous other roles, we finally know who will be filling the shoes of Alec Holland and the mossy feet of Swamp Thing on DC Universe’s upcoming Swamp Thing series.
Andy Bean will be taking up the role of Alec Holland, while Derek Mears will be the Swamp Thing himself.
Bean has been in numerous TV series and films including Power and the upcoming It: Chapter Two.
Mears has done on a lot of suit work in films such as the upcoming Alita: Battle Angel, but DC TV fans will remember him from season 4 of The Flash where he played Sylbert Rundine / Dwarfstar.
There have been numerous Swamp Thing casting announcements as of late, but Alec Holland and Swamp Thing were definitely the missing pieces. Mears had been rumored before this official announcement, and we think he’s a great choice so it’s nice to see it come true.
No word as of yet when the series will premiere, so stay tuned.
