Earlier this week, Jason Momoa revealed a deleted scene from director Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League that directly sets up where we find Arthur Curry in Aquaman. Snyder must have been listening, as he’s now giving us a look at what Momoa was talking about.
Snyder posted a new image on Vero this morning. It features Arthur (Momoa), Mera (Amber Heard), and Vulko (Willem Dafoe). The caption reads, “I’m going home to see my dad,” which is a direct quote from Momoa’s description of the scene earlier this week.
Having seen Aquaman, the film isn’t lacking in any way due to this Justice League scene being left on the cutting room floor. It’s still a cool image, though, and it satisfies the curiosity that was sparked by Momoa’s comments earlier in the week.
In his own way, this feels like Snyder is sending a little support to Momoa, who’s had plenty of nice things to say about the director who cast him.
