Shazam! is headed for a PG-13 rating, just like most comic book movies released today. The film will eventually find its way to television, however, where PG-13 dialogue is not always allowed.
Director David F. Sandberg is currently in the ADR (automated dialogue replacement) stage of post-production, which includes re-recording lines for the TV edit. Sandberg shared a funny video of Jack Dylan Grazer changing one of his Freddy Freeman lines.
We’ll have to watch Shazam! on basic cable in a couple of years to see if this line reading makes the cut. Doubtful, but if so, this scene might feel right at home on NBC’s The Good Place (only Grazer didn’t say “shirt”).
