Aquaman Leaps Over Man of Steel at the Domestic Box Office

Aquaman has been atop the DCEU worldwide box office rankings for several days now. James Wan’s billion-dollar smash will eventually become the highest-grossing film ever based on a DC property. Aquaman‘s climb up DC’s domestic box office charts has not been nearly as quick, but it moved up one spot on Tuesday.

Aquaman earned another $2.3M in North America yesterday, raising its domestic total to $291.6M. That puts the film ahead of Man of Steel ($291M) for fourth place in the DCEU domestically.

That may be as high as Aquaman goes in the domestic rankings, but we can’t rule it out from passing Suicide Squad ($325.1M) and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ($330.4M) yet. Wonder Woman ($412.6M) is safe in its top spot.
