Michelle Pfeiffer Says Hello to Instagram Purr-fectly

Michelle Pfeiffer has finally joined the world of Instagram, and she wasted no time reminding us of our favorite role.

Normally an actor joining social media isn’t that newsworthy around these parts. Even when that person was part of a Batman movie it doesn’t entirely scream the need to be pointed out. But when you use a video like Michelle Pfeiffer did, it deserves a tip of the hat and a smile.

Well, there’s nothing like a throwback to her turn as Catwoman to get our attention as she inaugurates her Instagram account.

“I’ve spent my whole life doing as little as possible and hiding out,” Pfeiffer told Vanity Fair. “I’ve been really, honestly, anxious about entering into the world of social media, and just fearing I’ll say the wrong thing and somebody’s gonna get snarky on my feed.” She went on to add, “I just started realizing that I tend to get very curious because so many of my friends have started to engage on Instagram and they seem to be having a lot of fun with it, and I think that I realized that it’s actually a really good way to engage with people, and potentially with my fans.”

While it’s unlikely we’ll ever see Pfeiffer do anything in the world of Batman again – what role do you possible take on after you’ve been Catwoman? – she joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe this past year in Ant-Man and the Wasp. She is expected to reprise the role of Janet van Dyne in the upcoming Avengers: Endgame.
