It looks like the Titans will be suiting up again in the not too distant future to finish their fight with Trigon.
According to a report from Hollywood North, Titans is due to begin filming again on March 20 with a projected wrap date of Sept. 6. Amusingly, the codename for the season is “Freebirds,” which makes sense seeing how many characters have names based on avian species.
There has been no indication when season 2 will debut, but we can make a few guesses. According to the leaked DC Universe schedule, that last known live-action debut is Stargirl in August, followed by the animated Harley Quinn series in October. If DC Universe wants to start running more than one show at a time, they could easily kick it off in October, and seeing as season 1 launched on Oct. 12, 2018, it would make some sense. If not, then we could see it become the December series. Either way, we would say the fourth quarter of 2019 is probably going to be the target.
Not much is known as of yet about season 2. We know that an episode was cut from season 1 and some of that footage will be used to kick off season 2. It was also certainly hinted heavily at the end of season 1 that we would be meeting Connor Kent and Krypto when the series resumes.
As we said in our Titans review, we enjoyed parts of the series, but there is room for improvement. We have our fingers crossed lessons will have been learned.
