Have you dreamt of driving to work in the Tumbler? Cruising the streets of your city like Batman, hunting down villainy wherever it may lurk? Then there is an auctioning coming up that you’re going to want to bid on.
Historics Auctioneers in the U.K. is going to be holding an auction for a fan-made recreation of the Tumbler from the Dark Knight Trilogy. It was built with the assistance of Character Cars which has constructed numerous other replicas.
The engine comes from a Toyota MR2 with a manual gearbox and is fully driveable – however it is not currently road legal. The over-sized rear wheels come from a military truck and the front wheels are similar to those used on a US drag car. The Tumbler comes complete with an array of weapons and gadgets including flame thrower, police sirens and flashing lights. The cockpit has its own desirable Batcave feel with racing seats, custom steering wheel and enough buttons and lights to satisfy your inner geek. In great condition, this unique vehicle comes with a UK V5C registration document and is, we believe, the only one for sale in the world at this time.
The Tumbler replica is expected to sell for between £90,000 – £120,000 (approx. $117,576 – $156,803). The auction will take place at Ascot Racecourse on March 2, with pre-auction viewings commencing on Feb. 28.
