The CW is prepping its Batwoman pilot, and it appears that we’ll be seeing more of the Bat-Family should this end up moving to series.
According to a new report from Deadline, Batwoman has added three new supporting cast members: Camrus Johnson (Luke Cage), Meagan Tandy (Teen Wolf), and Nicole Kang (You).
Johnson will be playing Luke Fox, the son of Lucious Fox. Apparently, he has been tasked with maintaining Wayne Tower, which, as we saw in the Arrow episode in Elseworlds, is in desperate need of some cleaning. In the comics he eventually takes on the heroic identity of Batwing. Seeing how these shows go on The CW, this will be the eventual plan.
As for Tandy, she will be playing Sophie Moore. In the comics storyline, Moore and Kate (Ruby Rose) were in a relationship during their time at West Point. When Kate was found out and drummed out of the school, she kept Moore’s secret so that she wasn’t also forced to leave.
The final part goes to Kang who will be playing Mary Hamilton. Hamilton is Kate’s step-sister and is her polar oppisite in that she is bubbily and upbeat.
While Batwoman is still going through the normal pilot process, it seems like a foregone conclusion that when The CW announces its schedule at the network upfronts this spring that it will be on the schedule. With Gotham leaving the air this season, Warner Bros. is probably going to want something around to remind everyone of the Bat-Family, and a show with it in the title is sure to not hurt.
