Birds of Prey and Gotham City Sirens crossover rumor surfaces again

With the docket of upcoming DC films seeming to grow by the day, it seems that the rumor of the Birds of Prey and Gotham City Sirens crossover has appeared again.

Surfacing in January, word started to spread that if Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) performs well, that could lead to a trilogy of films. The second would be the long-promised Gotham City Sirens, and the third would be a crossover between the two teams. While no new details came along with the information, The Hollywood Reporter is now saying that it has heard similar information.

The biggest question mark in all of this is, of course, what sort of participation would we see from Margot Robbie. She is currently filming Birds of Prey, but in the comics, she is better known for being a member of the Sirens. Would we see her in all three movies? Just the first and third? And let us not forget she has agreed to star in and produce a Barbie movie as well. Can she really juggle that many more movies in her near future?

And what if James Gunn decides he wants her for The Suicide Squad?

We’re starting to feel worn out for Robbie and we’re just discussing it!

This is going to very much be a waiting game. We’re only 53 weeks out from Birds of Prey, so we wouldn’t be surprised to hear something more definitive before the end of this year should this all come together.

Birds of Prey is due to hit theaters on Feb. 7, 2020.
