DC Comics tease a “City of Bane” in this year’s 25-cent “DC’s Year of the Villain” one-shot

Last year, DC Comics released DC Nation ahead of Free Comic Book Day, which was a 25-cent comic that had stories from heavyweights like Tom King and Scott Snyder.  Besides being a lot of comic for a dirt cheap price, DC Nation also serves as a preview for some of 2018’s biggest storylines.

In an exclusive with the Hollywood Reporter, DC are at it again this year with another quarter dollar comic: DC’s Year of the Villain.

That does not sound oppressive or ominous at all.

The one-shot will drop on May 1 and will feature new material from Scott Snyder, Jim Cheung, Brian Michael Bendis, James Tynion IV, Francis Manapul, and Alex Maleev, with stories that will tie into the Superman, Justice League, and The Batman Who Laughs titles.  An upcoming Batman story titled “City of Bane” will also be hinted at, though details on the are relatively scarce.  The main cover will be from Greg Capullo, with variants from Alex Maleev, Jim Cheung, and Artgerm.

Stay tuned for more information as we hear it.
