Beyond a costume, one of the most important parts of any portrayal of the Joker is his laugh. They have all been radically different from one another, and it’s not going too far to say that the laugh can make or break a performance.
Thanks to what is said to be some recently discovered set video from The Joker, we may be getting our first taste of Joaquin Phoenix’s laugh. Before you hit play, let us be very clear that we have no clue how real any of this is. It’s hard to tell if this is even the set of the film. There’s no way to tell if that is Phoenix actually laughing and so on. We aren’t recommending you take this with a grain of salt, but suggest you take the entire salt shaker with you.
Definitely turn up your volume for this.
