Hope for a Snyder Cut of Justice League surfaces once again

For the first time in ages, some odd activity is making us wonder if someday we could indeed see a Snyder Cut of Justice League.

For those unfamiliar with the concept, when Snyder had to abruptly leave the production of Justice League due to a family tragedy, Joss Whedon was brought in to complete the film. Ever since that time fans have wondered about the possibility of a “Snyder Cut” of the film that would allow us to see what his final vision was for the film.

Petitions have been created. Interviews given. And every so often people begin to think there is no hope. Now, thanks to a Twitter conversation between a fan and Zack Snyder’s son, Eli, things are looking off kilter again.

A fan sent Eli a message expressing his hope for a Snyder Cut, to which Eli responded, “Hi Joshoua. Total optimism. Good things are coming soon,” followed by a few emojis.

Then, a screenshot of this exchange was posted to Vero where Zack Snyder likes to hang out, and he liked the message.

There is no doubt this can be interpreted in about 20 different ways. Possibly Eli was speaking in general that good things are coming. Zack Snyder could have potentially liked the message simply because his son was involved and he wanted to be supportive. There is absolutely nothing definitive in this exchange other than two members of the Snyder family were involved. Everything else is very much open to interpertation.

Zack Snyder is currently working on a film with Netflix, so it’s unclear if he would have the time right now to assemble a Snyder Cut of the film. Or it’s possible he has it sitting in his house waiting to go. We’ll just have to wait and see what exactly this “good news” is and hope it won’t take long to find out.
