In a surprise announcement on Thursday, Adrienne Barbeau took to her Twitter account with some surprising news. She’s heading back to the swamps.

Barbeau appeared in the 1982 Swamp Thing movie as ‘Alice Cable.’ There is no indication as of yet as to who she will be playing in the series, nor how large of a role it is.
A staple of 1970s television, Barbeau got her big break on Maude playing Carol. She then moved to numerous movies throughout the 1980s and continues to act on a regular basis.
Swamp Thing is currently filming, but due to its swamp-based locations, we’re not seeing much from the set other than the occasional Len Wiseman Instagram video.
A leaked set of dates indicated that Swamp Thing will be premiering on DC Universe on May 10, 2019. That date is not yet official, but does seem likely.
