With The Dark Knight Trilogy being discusses again, it seems fortuitous that a new interview sheds some light on Ledger’s take on the Joker.
Appearing on Collider Live, Michael Jai White was asked about his experience filming The Dark Knight. While it starts off with some behind the scenes anecdotes about Chrisopher Nolan, it does turn to Heath Ledger’s performance as the Clown Prince of Crime. From some stories about Ledger wearing makeup to just help his fellow actors with a scene, to asking advice from anyone he was playing off of, it sounds as though he was a considerate and giving individual to play off of.
And White has some definite opinions on those stories that the role of the Joker consumed Ledger.
