Work appears to be progressing on the upcoming Joker movie, and now we just wait for a trailer and new images.
Todd Phillips has been quiet on Instagram since Dec. 17, 2018, but that has now changed as he shared an image from the film with the simple caption “Editing #Joker.”
Of course, we have no context here, but it’s still an interesting image anyway with the pile of tapes under the TV and the large VCR on top. We tried reading them, but it’s difficult to make out the words. You can tell however that they are numbered and it appears one says “#42” and another says either “#227″ or #229,” we can’t quite tell.
We’ve heard that this film will have overtones from the Martin Scorsese film The King of Comedy. An obsessive personality would certainly fit in with that idea.
Hopefully with Phillips in the editing bay we’ll see a trailer in the not too distant future.
The Joker movie is due to hit theaters on Oct. 4, 2019.
