Dwayne Johnson talks Black Adam filming targeting a start date

Black Adam - 01

Dwayne Johnson is still attached to star in a Black Adam movie, and it looks as though it may finally be preparing to film.

It may be hard to believe, but Dwayne Johnson has been attached to a Black Adam project for 10 years, but it looks as though it may finally be getting ready to shoot. Johnson took to his Instagram this weekend to thank audiences for going out to see Shazam!. Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions was one of the producers on the film, so he definitely had a vested interest in its success.

Johnson once again spoke of his Black Adam film, and he says it should begin shooting within a year. Of course, this isn’t the first time he has given that sort of update as he said in an interview in April 2018 that he figured the film would shoot in 2019.

Most actors by now would have detached themselves from a product that has gone through this long of a development phase, but Johnson seems committed to getting this film on screens at some point. With Shazam! having a decent opening weekend, perhaps things can begin moving forward a bit.

There’s no question that Johnson is currently one of the hardest working actors in Hollywood. He’s begun promoting his upcoming Fast & Furious spinoff Hobbs & Shaw, and he’s he’s currently working on Jumanji 3. And who knows how many other films he has lined up for this year, all while having an HBO series (Ballers), and working on a reality competition series (The Titan Games). One has to wonder when he sleeps.

With Johnson seemingly constantly on the publicity circuit, and him having provided a recent update, the topic is sure to come up again soon. We’ll be keeping our eyes and ears open for more information.
