Birds of Prey continues to film around Los Angeles, and a potential new plot point showed up in some in the latest set photos.
Margot Robbie and Ella Jay Basco returned to the blue car with mattresses strapped to the top for some more filming on Monday. There is one image in particular that caught our eye, however. As you flip through the embedded tweets below, look for the image of Robbie holding up the clapboard for the camera.

Notice the handcuffs on her right wrist? We’re wondering if this may somehow be connected to the set video from way back in February. In that video, we saw Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and Zsasz (Chris Messina) running down a street as Cain (Basco) was being put into a police car. There could be no connection, or it could all be connected, we just won’t know for a while yet. Perhaps that’s how Harley meets Cain? We just don’t know.
Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) will be the first appearance of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn since Suicide Squad. She will be joined by Mary Elizabeth Winstead as the Huntress, while Jurnee Smollett-Bell will be playing Black Canary. Rosie Perez will be playing Renee Montoya, and Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain as well. And Ewan McGregor joined the cast as Gotham City villain Black Mask. Ali Wong has even joined the cast in an unknown role.
The Birds of Prey movie will hit theaters on Feb. 7, 2020.
