Without so much as a whisper, it seems that the saga of the missing Warner Bros. and Arrowverse shows at Amazon has come to end.

Back in January of this year, we began getting reports from readers that they were not receiving the latest episodes of series such as Arrow when they had purchased a season pass via Amazon. New episodes simply stopped appearing in their accounts, and the content was no longer listed as available for purchase. It spread across pretty much everything associated with Warner Bros. by the time all was said and done.

Just as suddenly as it started, now it appears to have come to an end. The same anonymous reader who originally brought this to our attention reached out on April 1 saying that things were starting to reappear. Then, on April 9 they emailed again saying all the seasons were filled back in. We’ve checked, and all seasons now say they are for sale once again.

More than likely this was some form of financial disagreement between Amazon and Warner Bros., but we have nothing concrete to back that up as neither company ever even acknowledged this was happening. We reached out to both companies on multiple occasions and never received any form of response.

The key in any situation such as this is communication, and sadly both companies failed at that. No one was ever filled into as what was happening despite having prepaid for entire seasons. While we fully understand there can be disagreements in rights and royalties between companies, to keep customers that prepaid for a product in good faith in the dark just seems wrong. Tell them why they aren’t getting what they paid for and if they can even ever expect it in the future.

We’re thrilled for our readers who have now received their purchases, and we certainly hope nothing like this happens again.
