The mystery of the role of Darkseid in Justice League has deepened a bit more.
Recently it has been circulating that the Darkseid scenes in Justice League were indeed filmed and are part of the infamous Snyder Cut. It then began to circulate last week that the role was played by Ray Porter. Porter has appeared in numerous productions including Ben Affleck’s Argo. For his part, Porter didn’t confirm the information, while kind of confirming it.

For those who may be unfamiliar with what an “NDA” is, it stands for “Non-Disclosure Agreement,” and means you can’t discuss something. They are not uncommon in film productions, and even we here at Batman News have to agree to them when we visit movie sets.

Essentially he confirmed it without confirming it depending on how you read things.
Then, over the weekend, someone asked Zack Snyder to comment on the information and he simply replied, “He’s the man.” Again, it’s not really a confirmation, but it is?
JL: Zack Snyder basically confirms the rumor that Ray Porter was set to play Darkseid. from DC_Cinematic
It seems somewhat safe at this stage to say that Ray Porter was the man to play Darkseid, but that in and of itself raises other questions. Did do the motion capture or was he just the voice? We’re sure to find out at some point in the future.
The saga of the Snyder Cut seems to have no end in sight despite the director himself recently confirming it does exist. If Warner Bros. ever plans to release it is a completely different discussion, however.
