DC Universe has released a new Swamp Thing trailer, and it definitely looks as though the series is going with a horror tone.
From the general tone of this full Swamp Thing trailer, it looks as though nothing good is going to be happening to anyone. From scares to the creepiness of it all, it seems that the series will be playing heavily to the Alan Moore side of the equation to be sure. Of course, the revelation that the Parliament of Trees was in the original plan somewhat gave that away.
Definitely worth noting is the first look at the Blue Devil mask. We’ve known since December that Ian Ziering would be playing the stunt man who eventually becomes Blue Devil, but we didn’t know if we would see the actual mask. Now the question remains if he will actually put it on.
Now that we’re finally seeing some of the aesthetics of the series, it has us that much more excited for it, while also being somewhat reserved. Knowing that the season has been cut short still has us cautious as we await the debut on May 31.
