Matt Reeves The Batman script updates may cause a delay

Sad Batman - BTAS - 01

Matt Reeves The Batman may be receiving another small delay in production it seems.

Justin Kroll of Variety has shared a minor update on Matt Reeves The Batman, and it’s not great news we’re afraid. It seems some more script tweaks are taking place and that may not only delay the casting announcement that seemed to be coming in the near future, but production as well.

The most recent reports had production starting in the fall, but if we’re looking at winter, there’s a good chance we’re going to see that June 25, 2021 release date slide back as well.

We’ll have to wait and see if there is any sort of official announcement to come in the next few weeks. There is always a chance this won’t even be officially acknowledged, you just never know with movie studios.

There had been rumors that the casting of the film was to happen at any time, so there’s no indication if this script situation is a recent development.

While it’s easy to appreciate someone wanting to make the perfect story, it’s also possible to over shine something as well. Hopefully that’s not the situation we’re heading towards.

With San Diego Comic-Con only about two and a half months away now, hopefully some news will surface there as to what the current state of the project is. We’ll just have to wait and see.
