According to a new report, it appears that production on The Batman may finally be on the move.
We’ve been hearing for some time that Matt Reeves planned on filming The Batman beginning this fall, but nothing had solidified quite yet. Now, a new blurb from UK Production News states that the film will begin shooting in London this Autumn.

A couple of notes on this. UK Production News is an independent entity, and their news is collected from sources. This does not mean the production is set in stone.
On the second note, this does not mean London is doubling for Gotham, although some exteriors probably would. Warner Bros. has a large production facility just outside of London where the Harry Potter films were shot. Quite often when these are used it is considered to being shot “in London.”
The short version is that this all seems very reasonable and quite likely, but it should not be taken as official as of yet.
With the rumors that we’re closing in on the finalization of who will take up the role of Batman, there is sure to be all sorts of rumors flying around. Now comes the fun of separating fact from fiction.
The Batman is scheduled to hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
