It appears there is some new movement on the Black Adam movie front. According to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter, Jaume Collet-Sera is set to direct the Dwayne Johnson film.
Collet-Sera is in post-production on another Johnson film at the moment, Disney’s Jungle Cruise. Outside of Dwayne Johnson movies, he has directed The Shallows, Orphan, House of Wax, and more.
Johnson has been signed on to star in Black Adam for around 10 years at this point, but the addition of a director definitely adds some momentum to a project. The last time he spoke of the film back in April, Johnson said that the film should begin filming within a year.
We still don’t have a release date for Black Adam, but expect things to start picking up a bit more momentum now with someone to captain the ship.
