It appears that Harley has found her Catwoman.

Sanaa Lathan appeared at the American Black Film Festival last week for a conversation with director Malcolm D. Lee. During the session, Lathan revealed that she will be voicing Catwoman in the upcoming Harley Quinn animated series from DC Universe.

Lathan may be best known to comic fans as Vanessa Brooks, the mother of Blade himself in the 1998 film Blade. She spent four seasons playing Donna Tubbs on The Cleveland Show, and has appeared on Family Guy on a recurring basis. She most recently appeared in The Twilight Zone episode “Replay” on CBS All Access.

The cast of the Harley Quinn series is shaping up. In addition to Lathan it will star Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory) as Harley, Lake Bell (Wet Hot American Summer) as Poison Ivy, Alan Tudyk (Firefly) as both The Joker and Clayface, Ron Funches (Powerless) as King Shark, J.B. Smoove (Curb Your Enthusiasm) as Frank the Plant, Jason Alexander (Seinfeld) as Sy Borgman, Wanda Sykes (black-ish) as Queen of Fables, Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad) as Lex Luthor, Jim Rash (Community) as The Riddler, Diedrich Bader will reprise his role as Batman from Batman: Brave & the Bold, Tony Hale (Arrested Development) as Dr. Psycho, Christopher Meloni (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) as Commissioner Gordon, and Natalie Morales in an unknown role.

Harley Quinn has finally broken things off once and for all with the Joker and attempts to make it on her own as the criminal Queenpin of Gotham City in this half-hour adult animated action-comedy series. The series features Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and a whole cast of heroes and villains, old and new, from the DC Universe.

Harley Quinn is currently expected to debut in Oct.
