If we learned anything throughout all of the Birds of Prey set photos, it’s that Harley (Margot Robbie) is going to have a lot of costumes in this movie. And while we saw numerous outfits, we didn’t get a detailed look at any of them. Now that’s changing as a costume continuity photo has surfaced courtesy of DCU Israel on Instagram.
This outfit seems to come from the carnival set sequence we saw back in early March. We’re still not sure where in the film’s story this takes place, but it appears to be a big confrontation between the Birds and Black Mask (Ewan McGregor).
While Harley is set to have numerous outfits over the course of the movie, Robbie recently told Vogue that there will be some changes from Suicide Squad. “That’s what happens when you have a female producer, director, writer,” said costume designer Erin Benach. “Yeah, it’s definitely less male gaze-y,” added Robbie.
While this one picture is nice to have, we are, of course, waiting on a trailer for the film. Beyond the recently released teaser poster, things have been very quiet surrounding this production since it wrapped shooting. With Warner Bros. skipping Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con this year, it feels like we’ll probably be waiting until August or September to see anything more on Birds of Prey, and we’re anxious to see everything they have to show us.
Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) will hit theaters on Feb. 7, 2020.
