DC Collectibles unveils 100th Batman Black & White statue

DC Collectibles has unveiled its 100th statue in the Black & White series. This milestone statue was designed by Todd McFarlane, and a life-sized version of it will be on display at the Comic-Con Museum during San Diego Comic-Con. Even better, someone is going to get to take it home via winning it in an auction.

“It’s a huge year for Batman fans and I’m tremendously excited to be part of the character’s induction into The Comic-Con Museum’s Hall of Fame.” McFarlane told Forbes. “Having my design turned into a life-size Batman statue has been an unforgettable experience, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it at Comic-Con – not to mention I’m very envious of the fan who gets to take it home!”

McFarlane went on to add, “To simply be a part of the 80th anniversary of a character that has always held such a special place in my heart is an honor. But in designing this statue I truly feel like I’m adding to Batman’s legacy and in the process benefitting a hall of fame that will become an institution both for comic fans and the San Diego community.”

DC Collectibles will be announcing more information about the statue’s general release over the course of the convention.
