Matt Reeves’ The Batman reportedly finally has a production start date

Batman - Comic - Generic - 01

After an endless swarm of rumors as to when it would begin filming, it appears that Matt Reeves’ The Batman finally has a production date. According to a new report from Geeks WorldWide, which has a good track record on production-related reports, The Batman will begin filming in London on Jan. 13, 2020.

The rumors had pointed to late this year for some time before shifting to early next year. The London rumors started popping up this past May.

This date seems fairly plausible with the ramping up of reporting around the film the past few weeks. With Robert Richardson on board as cinematographer now according to reports, and rumors circulating heavily as to actors for the villains, it seems as though everything is finally coming together.

While Warner Bros. is not hosting a Hall H session at San Diego Comic-Con this year, the studio still has a large presence on the show floor. Hopefully, some more information will appear over the course of the convention.

The Batman is scheduled to hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
