UPDATE: Lance Ausfresser has posted an update in the DC Universe Crossover Events Group saying, “My apologies. My sources who have been reliable since last season. there was a misinterpretation of conversation since yesterday on my part. Wish there wasn’t. No titans In the crisis crossover.”
Original post follows.
A new rumor has surfaced that the Titans may be crossing over with the Arrowverse during Crisis on Infinite Earths.
According to Titans Facebook group admin Lance Ausfresser, “The Titans will be part of the Crisis on Infinite Earth’s crossover.” Ausfresser admits he doesn’t know yet who will appear in the crossover, or in what capacity they will be seen.
Ausfresser does have a hit and miss track record overall, but has been proven fairly accurate when it comes to matters surrounding Titans. Recently he was the first to announce that Drew Van Acker would be playing Aqualad.
There is no official information on the possibility of the Titans appearing in Crisis on Infinite Earths, but it doesn’t seem impossible. With Berlanti Productions behind that series as well as the entirety of the Arrowverse, there aren’t many people who need to sign off on it. Add in that Warner Bros. owns all the associated outlets, and it really just comes down to whether or not they want to do it.
This, of course, shouldn’t be read as the Titans will play a massive role in the story. It could be something as simple a reaction shot as we see the events unfold across various Earths.
With Titans filming season 2 right now, it would be an easy thing to have a few of them shoot a quick scene, but we’ll just have to wait and see if this comes together. For now, we do recommend taking this with a grain of salt.
The Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover airs beginning on Sunday, Dec.8, at 8pm Eastern with Supergirl.
