Michael Mosley officially confirmed as Dr. Light for Titans season 2

Dr Light - Comics - Fetured - 01

The rumors have proven to be true. Michael Mosley will indeed be playing Arthur Light, AKA Dr. Light, on Titans season 2.

Deadline has confirmed the news, and states that he will appear on a recurring basis. There’s no indication as to his total episode count, but he is named “as another big bad” for the team this season along with Esai Morales’ Deathstoke.

Despite the launch date for season 2 rapidly approaching, filming is still underway for the final few episodes of the season. This sounds like we may not see Dr. Light until the back half of the episodes unless DC Universe has simply kept his inclusion under wraps.

Introduced in 1962, Dr. Arthur Light is a physicist that is capable of manipulating light. He used this ability for crime and fought with many heroes across DC comics over the years. Since then he has been everything from comic relief, to a despised villain in the “Identity Crisis” storyline. We doubt Titans will take him to the extremes of him being a rapist as he was in that storyline, but we also highly doubt he will be played for comedy this time around.

The number of costumed characters in Titans season 2 seems to be reaching maximum capacity. The cast will include Genevieve Angelson as Dr. Eve Watson, Natalie Gumede as Mercy Graves, Chella Man will play his son Jericho, and Chelsea T. Zhang will take on the role of Rose Wilson. And, of course, Iain Glen has joined as Bruce Wayne and Drew Van Acker as Aqualad coming on board as well.

There are even some rumors right now that we may see Komand’r, AKA Blackfire, this season, as well as a potential visit from Superman.

Titans season 2 will premiere on DC Universe on Sept. 6.
