Mortal Kombat 11 is getting a few new fighters, and one of them is our favorite Clown Prince of Crime, the Joker.
Unveiled at Gamescom 2019, Mortal Kombat 11’s Kombat Pack will be adding several new fighters to the game. Confirmed in the presentation were the T-800 Terminator, Mortal Kombat veteran Sindel, the Joker, and Todd McFarlane’s Spawn.
The release dates for the fighters in the debut video are as follows:
- Shang Tsung – Out now
- Nightwolf – Out now
- Terminator – October 8, 2019
- Sindel – November 26, 2019
- Joker – January 28, 2020
- Spawn – March 17, 2020
Much of this information was known previously thanks to data mining, but it’s always nice to see it confirmed. One fighter that was leaked, but is missing, is Bruce Campbell’s Ash from the Evil Dead franchise. Perhaps a later release, but for now he is not present.
This, of course, is not the first time DC characters have interacted with the Mortal Kombat franchise. There previously had been a game dedicated to the concept called Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe that was released in 2008. Perhaps the Joker making another appearance in the franchise may bode well for the future. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Mortal Kombat 11 is in stores now.
