Batwoman is in full production for the fall season on The CW, but it seems it may still be filling out its cast a bit.
According to Deadline, Sam Littlefield (Mother’s Little Helpers) has joined the cast of Batwoman in a recurring role named Mouse. The character is described as a “dynamic figure” who is “working for Alice in Wonderland Gang.” Alice is being played by Rachel Skarsten, formerly of the WB Birds of Prey series.
The fact that it is referred to as the ‘Wonderland Gang’ of course has us a bit curious. There was another group of Batman villains who went by that name, but they were not connected to Alice in the comics. There may be no connection to the comic version which involved Jarvis Tetch (Mad Hatter), Tweedledee & Tweedledum, Walrus, and more. It’s a bit difficult to not call them the Wonderland Gang when you have a criminal named Alice.
Batwoman was introduced to the Arrowverse during last year’s crossover, Elseworlds. It was then ordered to pilot, and then was picked up to series.
The series will star Ruby Rose as Kate Kane as she returns to Gotham and learns to become Gotham’s protector. She will be joined by Meagan Tandy as Sophie Moore, Camus Johnson as Luke Fox, Nicole King as Mary Hamilton, Dougray Scott as Jacob Kane, and Elizabeth Anweis as Catherine Hamilton-Kane.
Batwoman will premiere on The CW on Oct. 6.
